Opportunity for Physiotherapist at the brand new Western Plains Correctional Centre, Lara VIC.
Part Time (3 days per week) Attractive Base Salary $140,000.00 per annum (based on Full Time) + Super.
About the roles
GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public and Private Prisons across Victoria.
The Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing specialised assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to inmates within the prison setting. This role involves working closely with the healthcare team to deliver physiotherapy care that promotes the physical well-being of incarcerated individuals, addressing both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, mobility issues, and rehabilitation following injury or surgery.
Opportunities exist for a Part Time opportunity working 3 days a week.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Full registration as a Physiotherapist with the relevant licensing board or authority.
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Physiotherapist, ideally with experience in a correctional, rehabilitation, or community health setting.
- Knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and physical rehabilitation principles.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Experience in working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health conditions or substance abuse issues.
- Knowledge of the correctional environment and the specific challenges it poses for healthcare provision would be desirable.
Other Requirements of the role:
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
